CHALLENGE #16 : MONOCHROMATICS

First of all, a huge thank you to all the entrants of challenge #15 - your creations were simply beautiful ... and we at Digistamps 4 Joy are so glad you shared them with us! The draw will be done in a couple of hours time and the winners announced here! Please call back to check.

Our new challenge will test your colour skills, specifically in the monochromatics spectrum. We'd like you to create a papercraft project,(it needn't be a card) using shades of the same colour ... as you can see in this colour wheel. Your 'free' colours to use are skin tones, and black and white.


One random winner will be chosen (random.org) to win 3 images of choice from the store.

We will then have a DT's choice award. This award will go to the the card / project that we vote to be our favourite (and must be a digistamps4joy image). This winner will receive a $6 gift voucher to spend in the store.

You do not need to use a Digistamps4Joy image to win.
We will choose 2 runners-up who we feel deserve a spot in the top 3.

You have two weeks to enter the challenge.
Your entry must be new. No backlinking to previous posts.
Please link back to Digistamps 4 Joy blog.
Projects that do not follow the theme will not be entered into the draw.
Please use the Inlinkz to link to your CARD/ PROJECT only, please don't link to your entire blog.
You may combine this challenge with other challenges.

Sometimes keeping it simple is the hardest thing to do... we all love adding embellishments and layers and really glamming our cards up. Today we're going to make a statement with our cards - by keeping it simple.

Challenge 14 - Lacy Days (better late than never)

Yes, this post is an entire week late. Totally my fault. Myself (Mel) and Jen were teaching workshops at a Hobby expo over the weekend, and our Work and preparation started last Wednesday morning when I collected Jen at the airport. Honestly, I totally forgot to put up the post (am I allowed to admit that? I am human after all...), but do not worry, I will extend the challenge date by a week to allow more than enough time to get your entries in.

This week's challenge is "Lacy Days" - use lace on your project.

Challenge 13 - Going Sentimental

Challenge 12 - Flower Power

This week's challenge is a fun one... flower power - use flowers...

We'll get straight into the inspiration from our DT (I think some of them are snowed in and minus power, but we'll get theirs as soon as they're back up and with us)

We'll start with Gemma. Beautiful colours, simplistic and smart. Gemma used flower corner from our corners and borders range.

Jan used Freckle Faced Bridal Couple and kept her colours soft and pretty and imitating the bride's bouquet in the corner.


Audrey used a previous freebie - Spring Fairy and used bright flowers as her accent to finish off this cheery card.


Jenlee stuck to white with a hint of colour in Daisy Dee's hair. The white flowers in the corner are beautiful.
